Dodge Engine Block Heater
Installation and Locations

Dodge Engine Block Heater-Although Cummins builds the diesel engine for Dodge pickups, the block heaters are installed and located in the same place for Dodge and non-Dodge applications. When installing a freeze plug style heater, make sure that the freeze plug bore is cleaned and that the o-ring on the new heater is lightly greased before installing. When installing the NPT (pipe thread) style heater, use a quality sealing compound (such as #2 Permatex)to prevent leaks.
